I had to take some time and recognize the life of a truly amazing woman.
Shirley Temple was a MILLIONAIRE by the AGE OF 6 after an incredible childhood acting career.Black went from modeling for cereal boxes to staring in movies like;
Stand Up and Cheer!, Little Miss Marker, andBright Eyes.
Her signature song On the Good Ship Lollipop stuck in everybody’s mind and is still debatably the most adorable rendition of any song ever.
she pressed the boundaries on racial tensions and forced new perspective when she and a black man performed on TV dancing together holding hands.
she is even sometimes credited with saving FOX from bankruptcy with the success of her movies
her character developed and she became an internationally respected talent and sensation
anybody who ever worked with BLACK only ever had great things to say for her young yet immense compassion
but despite Shirley’s early success, she retired from hollywood at the age of 22…and entered the political stage in 1967 at the age of 39
she was still a widely respected figure all over the wold, and she went on to even be involved in the dropping of the iron curtain.
Seems to me like a great example of mixing colors, using talents and disciplines in an art and eventually translating them into successful sociopolitical action, ON A GLOBAL SCALE.
