F.A.Q

IS THIS BLOG CRITIQUING ART?

Not exactly, while I do have my own positive and negative opinions about most pieces of art, I try to use this blog to explore, and help others explore, all elements of art and how it effects people. I want to show people that art is much more than an expressive outlet or just colors and lines that some talented person put together. I want to show people that art is dynamic and powerful in our society, it surrounds us, and can speak to the masses.

DOES THIS BLOG SELL ART?

Not here, but I am an artists who loves to get his work out there. I love creating anything, including this blog, its almost like another form of art for me. I do sell photography and paintings but I have separate websites for those witch are currently under construction. These sites will house a lot more of my work than you can see here on the blog. I made this blog as a creative outlet, not as a personal market place, I blog to learn and explore, selling my art is a separate endeavor.

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS BLOG?

I look around every day looking for something to appreciate, I never fail to find something and I always want to share that experience. The blogging community offers a platform for positive social interaction and communication that I aim to tap into. I work by scouring the web and other blogs for interesting and relevant art around the entire world. I collect these posts and share them with my followers so they to can get a glimpse at some of the amazing things happening around the world. I believe strongly in the power of art and its ability to facilitate social change and further understanding. To me art is a universal language that can be used to bridge the many divides within humanity.

WHAT TYPE OF ART CATCHES YOUR ATTENTION?

In established cultures, many norms are set that need to be revisited on a constant basis. Sometimes, in fact, most times words fall short of being the sole remedy. In these case I see that art can evoke social awareness. Art is universal in the sense that it can be constructed by one but infinitely interpreted by anything and everything. When I see something that hold s true purpose in the position of humanity and positive change, I get enthused. I like in-your-face-art that questions the things we believe. To me good art is a piece that makes you think, conceptualize, reevaluate, and reassess your own perspective alongs with that of others.

DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO SUBMIT WORK FOR YOU TO FEATURE?

Absolutely! As much as I do love searching for small time or underrated artists, I equally appreciate when ones finds me. I am hoping to communicate and network within a vast artistic community, so the more we share the more we are accomplishing. I love meeting people and experiencing their work. I welcome anybody to submit any type of art you may have created or discovered.

WHAT TYPE OF ARTIST ARE YOU?

For me, the more creative and symbolic, the better. I like to experiment with all types of mediums; paint, canvas, photography, graphic art, film, drawing, and even web design. I don’t do most things in the most traditional sense, you see, I like to do things in non traditional ways in the hopes of creating non traditional outcomes. I like to combine mediums and design meaningful and beautiful pieces that reflect my spirit and send messages that I want people to receive. I see potential in garbage and junky old things, I see character in the bark of a tree, I see metaphors in every breath I take, art is really just my way of venting my weird with a purpose to please.
